OCCUPATION 101, LESSION 1: HEARTS AND MINDS

Congratulations, you've decided to liberate a Middle Eastern country. You're probably blooming into your occupation phase by now. Well, I'm here with some handy pointers. They might come in handy at some point. Well, I'm not getting to "what to do" at this point, so much as "what not to do."

You don't really need to believe me, but you want the people whose country you occupy to be your friends. Marha Stewart will tell you how troublesome roadside bombs can be to weekend plans.

So here are a few things to avoid while occupying a country of people you want to be your friends,

POINT ONE:
Avoid taking photographs like this,


Seriously, how would YOU like to see a foreigner smiling and giving the thumbs up over your neighbour?

POINT ONE DASH TWO:
Especially avoid photographs like these,


If you're occupying a culture that isn't really fond of women, you obviously don't want to pose happy women over their corpses.

POINT TWO:

Avoid the gay stuff.


That's REALLY no way to make friends in the Middle East.
